Joining Base Operations as Business Development Rep means you’re playing a key role in our next phase of growth and helping to drive forward an industry ripe for innovation. As a BDR at Base Operations you’ll be a primary demand generation force, working with our target market to cultivate relationships with leaders who are changemakers in their industry.
The opportunity
Base Operations is a fast-growing security intelligence company that helps build more resilient organizations. As a BDR at Base you’ll work with a high-performing team of sales professionals who are ambitious, creative, and laser-focused on changing an industry. Our business development team is the foundation of our demand generation engine and is critical to building the high-quality pipeline needed to achieve our goals. As such you’ll be armed with the training, and resources to help enable your success.

Key responsibilities
- Identify high-potential customers, research Base Operations value fit, personalize messaging to prospects, and generate high-quality new business meetings for the company
- Responsible for outbound/inbound activities for prospecting by contacting via email, social and phone calls to qualify prospects and set meetings
- Follow up on inbound leads generated by Marketing and stay within compliance metrics, i.e. timely follow-up and attempts to connect
- Collaborate with the AE sales team you’re aligned with and develop strategies for breaking into new accounts
- Stay up to date on market trends, competition, and industry developments
- Be an expert on what we do and how we help our customers keep their people, assets, and operations safe
- Use customer relationship management (Hubspot) software to manage leads and sales activities
- Own your business and your sales targets and be able to report on your results to your stakeholders.

Experience you’ll need:
- 0-2 years of B2B sales and/or lead generation experience
- Interest and ability to learn technical concepts quickly
- Desire for a successful career in sales/business development
- Be a self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role and operate with an “owner’s” mentality
